Volunteers Needed for 2nd Saturday Cleanup at Airport Heights Park

Come spend a couple of hours with the Oregon Bay Area Beautification (OBAB) group to help beautify the Airport Heights Park in North Bend. This is a collaborative effort with the Coos Watershed Association, City of North Bend, North Bend Parks Department, the Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary, and the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport.

The 2nd Saturday cleanup will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Volunteers will meet at Airport Heights Park near the baseball field and tennis courts. The clean up effort is from 1pm-3pm, with sign-ins starting at 12:45pm. Clean up priority will be removing invasive Scotch Broom, and some light litter removal. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors and weather conditions. Bring, work gloves, cutters, trash grabbers if you have them, and water.

This is a kids and family friendly event. Youth under 18 need to have a release form signed by parent/guardian. Kids 14 and under will need adult supervision. Contact OBAB for details.
