The Coos Bay Police Department and North Coos 911 Dispatch Center are proud to welcome Karley Thomas as the newest member of their dispatch team. On Sept 29^th Karley took her Oath of Office and started her journey in public safety as a 911 Dispatcher.

A lifelong resident of the North Bend/Coos Bay area, Karley is a graduate of North Bend High School, where she was actively involved in athletics, playing both volleyball and softball. Her deep roots in the community bring a strong sense of local pride and connection to her new role.

Karley comes to the department with over a decade of experience at Safeway, where she managed the Floral Department at the North Bend store. Her leadership, communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure make her a valuable asset to the dispatch center.  Her passion for helping others aligns perfectly with the mission of 911 dispatch, and she is excited to serve her hometown in this vital capacity.
